Although many have written her off as a Joni Mitchell clone, I must beg to differ. Linda Perhacs' vocals are very intimate and bittersweet. Actually, the only way Joni Mitchell could make a record like this would be if she took a large amount of LSD. The multi-tracked vocals are one of the best things about this album. This is very good music that will calm your soul and possibly open your mind.

she just finished a new track with Devendra Banhart. listen at young god records....
i never meant to imply that linda did drugs. i was simply relating her sound to that. thanks for the info about the song with devendra.
Love your site John!! It looks great, and feels like old record shops i used to frequent in Munich. Thanks for keeping the old tunes alive and well. I used to love Linda's album when i was younger....for some reason i can't seem to get it downloaded?? Can you give an old timer a helping hand? Thanks John.
Wow. Proof that one does not need electric instruments or drugs to produce such trippy, far-out music.
And I for one am glad Linda is singing once again.
From Chile to all the people who step over the hole green world, thanks for share music.
Hey, ho, Lets go!

On a whim, I bought the reissue Lp on guerrsin. It really is a lost gem of a record. However, I think it is out of print sadly again. While there are a few songs which I didn't particularly care for, it doesn't matter, since the good songs far outweigh the bad.
I cannot thank you enough for this. You have my eternal gratitude. The moment I started listening, tears came down my eyes (literally) ... This music goes straight into one's soul. Linda achieves what others strive for under the influence ... I hold the deepest respect for her.
Great album, I agree about the Joni Mitchell comparisons. Definitely worth a purchase--I reviewed it on my blog here.
Great site!!! this information really helped me
